If you are reading this, there’s a very good chance you are an entrepreneur in the real estate industry since realtors, mortgage brokers, developers and development consultants make up the bulk of my clients and community.
This tells me you already know what it is to be brave. The real estate world is not for the faint of heart!
And yet, after we make the brave decision to become an entrepreneur in the world of real estate, it’s so common to slip into fear and judgement if we don’t get immediate results or when we go through “slower’ seasons or markets as many are experiencing now.
During these times it’s easy to fall into judging ourselves for not doing enough.
Sometimes it is fact that we are not doing enough of the right things. And sometimes it’s more a matter of focussing on the wrong indicators. It doesn’t ever have to be about the market or the interest rates.
When you focus on lag indicators, like contracts signed or commission cheques deposited, or lack thereof, it’s easy to get caught up in judgement that results aren’t happening fast enough.
And from there you are more prone to slip into fear and scarcity, both common pitfalls for all entrepreneurs.
You might also find yourself judging the situation, aka the market, as bad or wrong.
When you take the brave approach, it’s about deciding that you and your business are not market dependant because you know that people buy and sell in any market for a lot of different reasons and you are there to help. So rather than ranting or complaining about the market, you get out there and take brave, aligned action every day.
In my 12 years of entrepreneurship, I have personally experienced, and witnessed in others, the tragic side effects of living in entrepreneurial fear and judgement.
When you let fear and judgement lead, you will find yourself unable to take action, which just leads to a spiral of more fear, judgement and the added burden of shame. Which in turn results in a feast or famine cycle and increased risk of burnout instead of a consistently prosperous business that supports a life you love.
When you choose to be brave by focussing on the lead indicators in your business, those significant actions you can take every single day to connect with and serve your current and future clients, you will have a completely different experience of being a real estate entrepreneur AND you will discover what it feels like to create a profitable business that you enjoy.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do as an entrepreneur is to ask for and accept support. If you aren’t currently experiencing your business in a way that feels good, and is getting you the results you want, the Aligned and Prosperous Academy might be just the thing for you.
Inside the A&P Academy, you’ll discover how to cultivate a mindset of bravery that will give you the confidence to take daily actions. AND you will develop strategies for filling your sales pipeline that are aligned with your unique personality and values so you can create a consistent steam of income without fear, judgement or burnout.
